Lovely light and a brooding sky always helps landscape work. My only suggestion would be to crop out the car park area and a little bit off the left-hand side, so it is more of just the lovely trees.

Prabhusina... I don't think so - wrong species - maybe just trying to be friendly, or get a lift. Wink

Great capture of a wonderful old truck and the mono/selective colour processing works well. Smile

Not that big a deal considering one of the well known on-line retailers has had them for sale at £400 for a few weeks now... bought mine two weeks ago!!!

Quote:Sounds like quite a major overhaul, sounds promising, pity about the cost of the upgrade though

As a DXO user... I must admit I am not particularly thrilled about the idea of having to pay to obtain an upgrade to V5... however, as I have not been required to pay for any of the previous upgrades (upto the latest - V4.51) since purchasing V2.2 around two and a half years ago, I suppose I really don't have much to complain about!!! Just about anywhere in the Lake District is really nice and picturesque, so don't worry about not finding the right spot!!! Although I personally like the areas around Ullswater, Thirlmere, Coniston and Derwent Water... you will get some lovely shots no matrer where you go!!!

Have fun and enjoy your trip!!! Smile

    I just love this quote:

Executive editor Ron Royhab said that “Journalism, whether by using word or pictures, must be an accurate representation of the truth. Digitally editing images is dishonest.”

Considering in inability of most news-based publications to accurately describe the real situation - the saying "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story" strangely comes to mind - I personally don't see what the fuss is all about!!! If it is OK to write stories that are politically biased, fail to provide all the facts to ensure sensationalism, or are based on outright falsehoods, then why is it not OK to enhance a photo for graphic effect, if the intent and overall depiction of reality from the image, remains intact???

I think there is something not quite right in this situation!!!

Bought my D200 about a year ago... paid lots more for it than you can get them for now... but will Nikon recognise this fact and provide a discount on the software... highly unlikely!!!
