Hi Peter - thanks very much for those points - I REALLY appreciate your comments. I like your idea of darkening the water, didn't think of that one! And the dynamic angle too (without drowning of course!!). It's good too to know that a photo doesn't stay still, if you know what I mean, but that you can go back and see what else can be done with it.
I'm a new member, so I'm not sure what to expect regarding criticism from photos I upload. How can I elicit more of the kind of feedback that you have given me? Thanks again, Surfette Smile

  • Last one out of the water

Great silhouette. I can feel the cold sand, and the sky is fab!

I love this kind of image. I'd have liked to see more of his face, skin etc. I comment on that just because it is such an interesting image!

I'm finding it hard to decide, but I think I prefer the feeling in the colour version. There is something about the quality of the colour that makes it feel like it has been painted / watercoloured. The strength of the colour in the foreground also draws me deeper into the picture. But both are marvellous - wish I could do something like that !

Terrific composition and wonderfully rich colours. I really like the position of the old bog road and the fact that it disappears but you've a fair idea where it is going!

Great image. Good choice on retaining the balanced-blur - I really like it. Good choice of background, nice focus.
