I'm a middle aged amateur photographer on Merseyside and very keen to improve my photography skills. I will take a photograph of pretty much anything that catches my eye and then decide how best to process it. Perhaps this not the best way forward and maybe I should concentrate on one or two specific areas rather than being a master of none. However I am addicted to taking photographs and also to the processing/editing that follows. Sites such as this are a great inspiration and I admire the many many talented photographers/artists out there. Thanks for visiting. I welcome all constructive advice and criticism as that is how we grow.

Wow, thank-you everyone for your great comments and to mrswooybill (Moira) for the UA. Getting the exposure right was a bit tricky in bright sunlight as there was a huge risk of overexposing the highlights or loosing too much detail in the shadows. Ivor, the colour inside the tubes is grass reflected from below.

Thanks Nathan, I can assure you that the sculpture sounded nothing like as good as Mr Oldfields album TongueTongue. but fascinating none the less (or eerie as Diane has said). GrinGrin

Love the composition with the levers in the foreground and the diagonal of the track but have to agree with the above regarding the crop. GrinGrin

A refreshingly different and graceful pose. I also really like the mono conversion. GrinGrin
