lovely shot of the Robin on the old spade handle makes a wonderful looking perch, lovely to see him using it as a perch, Robins and gardeners always work well together so the image portrays that nicely, also its nice that a photograph like this can give you so many memories of your Dad, nice work

I am sure you dad would be well pleased, theres a zillion robin shots outthere but what makes this shine, imo is the old woodworm eaten spade handle, the colour and texture of the handle and colour of the background are spot on .

This picture tells a story that is centuries old and you have caught it extremely well. I know that you say that you are still not happy with it but to me I don't know how you could improve it. Wonderful image. Smile

Another good capture Jon. Agree it needs a brighter day, looks like a typical gloomy English day. You'll have to bring the spade to the Feed Station and use the hide, you'll get closer then. Great portable perch

I can't see how you can improve on this excellent feature, Jon. I see it exactly as it is - an fine example of the quality work you consistently produce.
ps: that old handle could become quite famous in its own right!
