Good shots in your portfolio but the double edge faded borders are a little hard on the eyes. Instead of just taking a photo of your pets try making them portraits by keeping a rectangular format and focusing or cropping on their faces. This will tell the viewer much more about what your pets are like especially if you can capture a good expression like a pant or something similar. Carrying on taking them though - as they will get better as you experiment!
