Butterfly

By SusanKing
Out & about with my new DSLR a Nikon d5600. Only had it a few days so still finding out what it will do.
Whilst walking in the woods I managed to get this butterfly who stayed still long enough for me to get a photo, they usually fly off when I get my camera out😂
I think itís a Red Admiral unless anyone can tell me different.

Lovely Red Admiral, Sue. You could try setting your new cameras metering to Ďspotí rather than Ďmultií you would get sharper focus. Very attractive lighting here.

Dave 🙂

Just to qualify the above, Sue, the ‘multi’ AF is finding the serrated edges of the leaves as the sharpest points of the image - ‘spot’ metering would have found the butterfly’s wing itself.
Kind regards,
Dave
