Curves Channel ...

By sut68
Another from Saturdays solo excursion with her image box to the sticky mud flats at Heswall.

Towards the end of the evening, the sun popped out from under the clouds for a few minutes before sinking beneath the horizon and the Welsh hills.

The low light at this point sought out the contours of this particular channel in the mud perfectly, providing some nice modelling.

Cheers for your time on yesterdays upload, hope this one takes your fancy too.

Just off to prep dinner, so catch up with you in a mo'. Thanks for dropping by.

Paul

If it was'nt for the boat this could be a scene from another planet. But there again it could well be that boats have now been invented on the planet Zargle-X2.

Not subtle but certainly grabs and holds the attention .....

Yep. Absolutely love it. Have you thought about a 4x5 crop from the right hand side?

An out and out stunner (and I use that word very sparingly)!

You even had me doubting it mate ... just checked again and it's still in pending, so there's still hope Wink

Thanks for that Bob, did you mean crop in from the left, if so then that does work for me too? That said, I do try to shoot for the particular format I am using so this is the full 35mm shot, though every now and again I like to shoot and crop to 617 pano format too ... only 'cause I don't have a camera to that format ... yet Smile

Thanks folks for dropping in, glad you like it too ... one for the wall methinks, just need to get a couple of inks now.

Hi Paul,

It would make for a great print. So what I meant was to crop off about an inch of the left side so I think we're picturing the same thing. I find it sets up a really nice diagonal flow from the bottom right corner back to that boat. I always shoot for the 4x6 format as well but having crop options has turned out to be useful for sales. I have a lot of people who actually request 8x10 prints for some reason. I suspect that it might be that those are the easiest and cheapest matte/frame combinations to find at the Range Smile

Nicely done brother!

LOL ... The Range indeed Bob ... guilty as charged myself Wink Got another comp of this which may suit more what you mean but by keeping this format. Thanks for taking the time again, much appreciated Smile

I like snakey as well as swirly! Smile The line of the channel and the light hitting its edges is lovely. I think a slight crop off the left would work well, too, but I love it as it is - bet it would look great as a big print...
