The iconic and awe inspiring Golden Gate Bridge that links the city of San Francisco to Marin County, as seen from Marine Drive leading to Fort Point.

We arrived at this particular spot fairly early in the afternoon, so the sun was probably at its highest point and not necessarily ideal for photography, but a little out-of-the-box thinking and I knew there was still a decent shot to be had. Particularly with the transient clouds and mist playing their part.

A 6 stop ND filter combined with my polariser enabled me to get a slow exposure of 2.5 seconds, which allowed me to get some movement in both the clouds and the tidal swell.

The title comes from the name given to the particular colour of the paint used to coat the bridge.

Cracker mate! Love the water flowing round the rock in the mid-ground. Grin

Daft question I guess, but have you visited Alcatraz yet? Assuming you're still there...

Not a daft question at all, we visited The Rock a week ago yesterday ... while we were still in the US. Been back nearly a week now mate ... and still struggling with touches of Jet Lag 💤

Nice one, hope you got some shots of it. I wasn't so much jet lagged when I came back from New York, just knackered! Wink
