Like Father, Like Son ...

By sut68
Many years ago now, when I used to travel throughout the UK following [and photographing] the then Lombard RAC, I remember watched [and rooting for] a rather impressive British rally driver called Malcolm Wilson.

Fast forward 20+ years and in the car is Matthew, Malcolm's son and driver in Malcolm's own team. Matthew races in the WRC and this, I have been informed, is his next car for the 2014 championship.

Taken yesterday at the Grizedale Stages in the Lake District, Cumbria.

Oooh you wasted no time Paul, and set the bar high (as I would have expected) Tongue

Excellent shot, like the flying gravel.

Right, time to have a look at mine.

PS, great to catch up again yesterday.

Lovely action image.
I used to watch his dad as well in the Lombard Rally and I have a picture of my son, whose was 9, standing next to his car when it was ran from Chester and also a image of Malcolm standing next to his car in the scrutineering hall.

He was fair shifting at this point Alun, got whacked on the back and head by debris as he passed too ... took me right back to the late eighties Grin

That was a while ago now Dave, can't remember when it was anywhere near the North [prior to this years finish in North Wales].

Cheers guys,
