Warming Through ...

By sut68
Another from Grosmont on an impromptu meet with Andy and Graham early morning [6.23am this one] at the back end of March this year.

Sir Nigel Gresley billows a trail of smoke whilst warming through just up from deviation whilst one of the cleaners watches on. The smoke hides the other 2 x A4's behind it ... Nigel doesn't like to be upstaged Wink

Have a great evening.

Paul

Excellent Paul... and a tad envious. The nearest I got to a steam engine in the last 10 days is the Swanage Railway - and nowhere near the same amount of steam! LOL!!

That guy in the orange vest is very important to the shot ... he seems to be sort of sucking the steam toward himself. Strengthens the composition no end methinks.

Cheers guys and yer so right, it does need him there. There was a tad more shot to the left but a bloke with a nice shiny tripod and HiVi vest was creeping into frame ... so I cropped him out Wink

Again, like the previous shot of this ilk, the smoke movement is so crucial to the image for me. Gives the whole shot a real dynamic. (hark at me, sound like I know what I'm talking about!!Wink)
