Sacre Coeur

By SuziBlue
Taken on the Paris trip last year. I loved the pic and I wanted to make more of it but wasn't inspired at the time. Hope you like.

I know that some would prefer to see the verticals straightened, but I like the fact that they converge as for me they reinforce the spectacle of this place and the fact that it dominates the hill.

I love the angle you have taken this from, don't straighten the verticals, I to have taken plenty of this building on my last 2 trips, but would not have thought of this, fantastic shot.

Nice use of light, love the shadows and viewpoint

Straighten nothing and in any case there's never been any advantage in going straight if you see what I mean...

Thanks so much everyone! Glad this works. Thanks for taking the time to do a mod Sarah - interesting variation.

Also glad my thoughts on the converging verticals resonate with others 8-]

LOL David - yeah the long way round is usually the best 8-]

A soot and whitewash mono, just like the days gone by. Super contrast Suzie, the icing on the cake for me is the Gargoyle shadow. Ron.

Oooh look! A special hat for me to wear 8-] thanks Brian hehe

Glad the contrast works. I don't have my monitor calibrated and I'm always in dread of what I think is a dark contrast showing up as a muddy mess, even though I check the colour values ;-]

I'm surprised there have been no comments. For me, it's the curly railing tops that stand out especially.
