Hummingbird Hawkmoth

By suzieosman
Taken at Ade's new venue he's researched and been using, I took this yesterday when he took me up there along with Klewis and Probert.
I caught this fella when the "3 Stooges" Smile) were sat down having a cup of tea and a natter. After I took it, I looked up and called to them what I'd just found and Andy (probert) came running across the path like a man possessed. Don't think I've ever seen a man run so fast.
It's not the best shot in the world, but thought I'd post it just to wind them boys up, because they didn't get it at all....LOL
Thanks for commenting on my previous uploads, I'm only sorry I can't make it on as much as I like to comment on all of your work.

Good for you! We had one around here, but haven't seen it for over a week now. This is a good shot (considering the darn things never settle). Well caught.

Way to go Suzie Smile You kept quiet about nailing this lol.

Nooooooooooooo! I hate it when I see a great shot of these as they are one subject I really love but very rarely get a chance to shoot at and when I do it's always in poor light so never comes out great.

This shot is fantastic sue. Super detailed, great light and colours too. Only draw back is you got it from behind but anything of these is a great achievement.

Am V envious of this one!

Great shot! Its got it all, superb detail (especially where it counts), composition and I love the captured movement.

Its a classic hummingbird hawkmoth shot, worthy of an award in my opinion.

Well caught! I've yet to get one to stay there long enough for me to arrive with the camera, never mind get it in the viewfinder! Beautiful details.
