The Medway at Gillingham

By NDODS
Good day to you all, I trust that you are all well as can be...

I on the other hand am rather uncomfortable after having my nerve blockers into my spine yesterday afternoon. The procedure went very well however I am now feeling the aftermath so much so that I feel like I have been plunged onto a Church Railing... "Ouch"

Forget all that thank you so much for all your wonderful comments and votes following yesterdays upload 'Life's a Gas'.

Todays upload was captured along at the Strand in Gillingham a favourite haunt of mine. Even though the lighting conditions were not ideal for photography, I managed to come away with a few relatively good images, which I then messed around with in the Digital Darkroom.

I hope that you all have a great day ahead, for me I shall be getting some rest and maybe a little indoor photography towards the end of the day.

Regards as always Nathan GrinGrinGrin

The balance of the tall chimney and those two posts bottom right, plus the hints of colour in the natural mono. This is so beautiful.

You have certainly made the most of the available light with this rather haunting scene, I like it a lot, Nathan.

Fabulous shot Nathan and I really like the foreground ( I would probably crop the top off and create an image from just the weeds and posts and the water cos I liek that sort of thing ) Not that I don't like boats Hope you have a comfortable day SmileSmile

The mistiness and soft light combine so well with the sharper images in the foreground. A lovely composition is the result.

Golly, Nathan, that sounds rather nasty Sad Hope you're soon feeling perkier Wink
The weather here certainly has given the shot a very atmospheric feel. A well composed image, with the posts and tufts of grass providing foreground interest, the boats interest in the centre, and the buildings in the background fading into the mist Smile

Interesting mix of light and visibility, Nathan. The background is all shrouded in...mist? Pollution? And then the foreground air is so clear! Especially the two well lit boats on the right.

Hope it soon improves for you, Nathan. Misty shots have been the norm round here for a few days but it was good to see some brighter weather for a few hours today.

This is a lovely serene image with those delicate colours.

This has a lovely gentle dreamy quality Nathan.
Joan.
The haziness is perfect for this image as it fades out what would have been an imposing chimney stack. The softeness of the light is lovely with the f/g boats balancing the picture perfectly. Can't fault it.
