Humayun's Tomb, Delhi

By Sweetpea
Humayun's Tomb, Delhi - taken April 2005 - This tomb has had some serious restoration work in the past fev years as it had fallen into ruin. The transformation is amazing. It's supposedly the blueprint for the Taj Mahal in Agra.

Hello Sweetpea, many thanks for your kind words on my work...such an imposing building you have captured with all its grandeaur and architectural beauty...the path tapering in from the corners of your frame adds to the splendour of your fine coloured exposure.

Great photo, It is a lovely building I was there Dec 2004, you can see why they say it being a blue print for the Taj Mahal, the outer buildings on either side of the Taj are alomst identical.
