This old house

By Sweetpea
We found this abandoned house in Florida, quite by chance on a trip to the dentist. It seems such a shame for it to be sitting there rotting, and I am sure would be lovely if someone took the time, money and care to restore it. It certainly looks like it has potential.
I have been out of the loop here for some time and this is my first upload for a long time too.
Hope you like it Smile

Hey Sweetpea!

Long time no see. Maybe you were gone fixing this one up and this is the 'before' shot? No? Good luck in Bakersfield. You do realize how hot it gets in the summer, right. Florida is arctic in comparison!

I hope you are doing well out there.

Yep, everyone keeps telling us that. But on the bright side, there's no humidity, so that's something. And you have to go where the job is right? Hoping to get up to San Fran at some time for a long weekend. Hubby has flown over it during a training course up there but neither of us have explored it at all so looking forward to that. Did find the Sequoia Forest but it was the one day is chucked it down with rain so all the magnificent views were obsured by mist so need to try that again and if anything comes out of it, I will stick it on here.

Hope you are well, apart from the wonky finger Smile

Hi Sweetpea,
I didn't see your message under the bridge shot with the moon. So I just wrote this:

Kings Canyon is a 5 hour drive Southeast of San Francisco. It si the deepest canyon in N. America. It is like Yosemite without all the people, like Yosemite was 100 years ago. It is a narrower canyon with fewer grand overlook spots like Yosemite. Mid September-October is best both for weather and the kids are back in school then. Either that or May, before the kids are out.

If you have other questions, send me an EPZ PM so I'll see it!

Pitiful state, indeed, for such a lovely house. As you say, just needs someone with money and good taste to restore it to gain its former glory.
