Long exposure

By Taff
So, my very first attempt at a long exposure shot.

Taken at St. Abbs harbour in the Scottish Borders on Easter Monday. A minute and a half exposure on a very cold and windy day.

Lessons learnt - If you draw up and print out a checklist having got lots of good advice from the Forum members - use the flipping list!!!!!!!

Example - Switch off steady shot and take a carrier bag so you can fill it with rocks, hang it off your tripod to help stabilise it. Both of these points were written on my checklist - Did I do them? - That will be a no Sad

Nice afternoon high tide this coming weekend - Me and mrs Taf are off to Holy Island

A great first effort Taf, its a shame about the dust bunny in the centre of the image, but very nice effort indeed. For a little inspiration on long exposures have a look at Joel Tjintjelaar , his black and white long exposures are magnificent.
