Orchid in bloom

By Taff
So Saturday was one of the hottest days for years in Scotland. What do me & Mrs Taff do?

We go to the Hothouse at the Edinburgh Botanical Gardens to photograph flowers!

We lasted about 20 minutes, Mrs Taff complained profusely and we had to get out. Managed to get this one of a gorgeous Orchid before we left. Background is actually natural, I seem to remember it was some kind of sign. Fortunately the Bokeh on a 400m lens blurred it quite nicely. I really like the way the Blue colour compliments the yellow of the Orchid. (Pure fluke by the way)

Hope you guys like it. Oh, and a massive thanks for all the votes on Sunday's post - my first UA in about 7 years, extremely chuffed Smile

All the best,

Taff
