I believe your photos, Jennn, are not about the light or a compositions with colors or other canons we are traditionally trying to define…but about the atmosphere of the shot, the feeling of something big and serious, extraordinarily powerful that comes out of your photos.
Each work made in your photo-lab is a manifestation of a huge talent that, at times, a restricted photo-format can't provide…

Jenn, I have a few images but, it was so gray out that they aren't really good shots. Also, it was hard to get out, my car had a tree full of snow and ice over it , thank goodness when it warmed up it lifted off. This morning it warmed again and melted most the snow. I do have a few shots, I will upload one tonight. Cherry

Hi Jennn,It was really lovely of you to take the time to have a look at my pf. So I have now done the same and taken a squizz at yours. I find this is a great way to learn about what other people are doing (there's so many amazing photographers that I only get to look at a very small percentage). Really love your work, particularly the butterflies. I can't imagine how much patience it must take to get these shots. You certainly have got some beautiful insects in your part of the world. I notice you have been to Portugal recently. It's a place I would love to visit. What did you think of it?

The B&W of you and your brother reminded me of my photo processing beginnings. Grandma gave my cousin and I some photo paper that you covered with the negative and set in the sun for a minute or so. I don't even recall how we 'fixed' the image. It resulted in a sepia tone photo. I expect the photo paper came in a cereal box promotion but it sparked our curiosity.

Tried it myself with your marigold and it works quite well . Dont understand why it should draw colour from something that isn't selected , but it does.

Try it with the Marigold. It should be very easy to make the selection with such a clear edge and the existing background will probably work ok. Even Adobe admit that sometimes you get unpredictable results . Don't know whether this is supposed to happen , but it usually does.
