Back Fence Neighbor

Hanging over the fence
chatting about the weather
and how the gardens are doing
did you hear what happened over on Stone Rd?
OH, and I have the best pickle recipe
You have to try it........

Character portrayed by a red milkweed beetle

**** *.* ***** Special thanks to Glostopcat for his much appreciated User Award for The Great Spangled Fritillary--

Almost forgot--for those who asked-- V2 is the entire image from which a crop was made for my current pf image.

V1 is just the funniest thing I've seen in ages. I keep promising not to get all anthropomorphic (a very useful word that I picked at university, it covers so much of our sloppy thinking...) and then a gem like this turns up and I'm thinking 'Have you heard about Mrs Body at number 22 ?...'
V2 - I guess it was the age when children sat still if they were told to. A different age...

And V2... it looks so cosy and welcoming, with the fire blazing, the well rhumbed books and those comfy seats. What handsome children you all were.
