Hurricane IDA

By taggart
Hurricane IDA

Behind all the greenery, etc. and signs is an antique Covered Bridge---road leading to it is called Covered Bridge Road-- Craftsmen have been working for a year carefully taking this 150 year old wooden bridge apart and rebuilding it with period materials--thus the signs in place (Bridge is red)
Version 1 is the -- road--can you find it?
Version 2 ---Knowing a flooding was likely, workers removed tools, heavy machines, etc. and parked them on Covered Bridge Rd. near our shed---We wondered----How close would the flooding come.....

Just missed! and the water has gone back into the creek --- all is good!

Amazing image Jenn …must be heartbreaking for folk who have had their property’s taken and folk who have lost life - a touching reminder that we are very small on this planet

Love to those affected from the U.K. to USA your in our thoughts and prayers

Vince
Looks like I may have similar photos to take tomorrow. A lot of water fell today and the winds are suppose to persist overnight. But nothing too serious here. A super set.

Thankfully you seem to have missed the devastation Ida caused along the Gulf Coast and elsewhere.
Seems these weather events are becoming all too frequent all over. A nice set here capturing what ida bestowed on your area.
