Stop the Motion !

Stop the Motion ! : A Hummingbird Moth

Awhile back I mentioned a goal I had set -- I wanted to capture this moth showing both wings!
So: I now present 'Stop the Motion' with two wings!

EDIT: the wings beat 80-85 times per second---

Thank you to WhiteRose and Chinga for Ua's for the 'Eastern Tiger Swallowtail,' and to MileJanJic and Greyheron for UA's for 'Blowin' in the Wind.'

It may seem that I have been lazy with comments lately-- We are getting ready for a short trip to New England--Grand kids and Daughters-- Our girls will be swimming an Open water race around the Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island! (there is a small notice on my FB page)
Be back some time next week.......

You certainly made your goal in fine style. Both see-through wings and looking very much like a hummingbird. If the girls have half the drive to win as their mom they should do very well. Take it calm and enjoy your time away. TG

Lovely detail and nicely presented Jenn. It sort of looks like he is looking longingly at the flowers through a steamy window

Beautifully done, Jennn, just a little hiccup with the processing between the top wing and antenna.
