Quote:Thats a fantastic shot, very rare to get such a good view of these shy little creatures.

    Andy

HI Andy it was quite the opposite with this wee fella even with my two Akitas sniffing around him he just went about his business as bold as brass and my two Akitas just sat there fascinated.

  • The Honey badger

Quote:It is not always possible / easy but whenever practical take the image when the head/face is in the light - here the eye is drawn away from the face to the back of the head / back as it is lighter

Quote:Nothing sweet about this creature , good capture but maybe could have been a bit sharper around the face , will let you off though as you were probably shaking with fear as you pressed the button .Kel

    HI Kel and Phil
Thanks for your comments this photo I had to compromise action for quality and light in my portfolio there is another photo of this Honey badger better quality but lacking the drama. I suppose timing is everything in taking these type of shots.

Quote:Nice image yet it can be stronger if cropped much closer. Say, bringing the tail to within a half inch of the right frame and proportional on all sides? TG

HI Tony thanks for the advise I will do this and then repost.

Thanks for the comments Lynne and Hermanus. Yes they can be demanding as we found out whilst staying at the hotel in Mombasa. This monkey however was snapped at the base of Kilimanjaro next to a waterfall.

Hi Whiterose thanks for the comments as i am new to photography and especially photoshop i have not used it, 99% of my images are as they came off the camera. I am planning to sit a course on photoshop . If there is anyone out there that could take me through the steps of photoshop (CS4) for this image they are more than welcome to guide me through it.
