Alan in Wonderland

By TanyaH
A combination of two slides - the face slide was originally colour (Kodachrome), and the cat in the window slide was black and white (Dia Direct).

Thanks Mavis! Yup, my sense of humour's a bit on the quirky side. My dad (the one behind) isn't actually called Alan, but 'Roland in Wonderland' didn't have quite the same ring to it ...

As to the work - this was a frustrating one to try and do! Trying to cut round the cat's fluffy bits was a nightmare and the airbrush and the smudge tool came in useful. It's still not perfect, but I like it.

I've just been having a look at all the comments I've made since I joined the site, and have to say that this is still one of my favourite images. I like it even more now that I've learned a lot more about manipulation, I can really appreciate the work that you put into it.

Thanks Lisa (and others) for the comments. I'm sorry to say that I haven't put any work up on EpZ for quite a while for one reason or another, but it's nice to know that the stuff I do have up here is still appreciated.

Thanks Paul, much appreciated. I'm not an expert either, and different things appeal to different people, which (for me) is what photography/imaging is all about.
