Come around to the front door

By Tars
A shoot that was not intended but passing a hay field I saw the poppies. Only noticed the little fellow after a couple of mins. not a easy shoot, as you know God hates photographers. As every time I wanted to take the shot the wind blew, so had to focus on the wee beasty while trying to get the DOF wright, thus taken in macro (or panic mode still trying to find the panic mode on my cameras!!!).

I look forward to your comments.

The back lighting has worked in your favour if not the wind, a constant problem with outdoor floral shots.
The wee beastie shows up well.
Good detail and textures in the petals: perhaps a pity the lowest petal edge has been lost, but a small point.
Ronnie.

Thanks for your comments, as for the lowest petal it was there when I was taking focus but then the wonderfull weather decided it would not be when I hit that magic button.
