Hope you all are doing fine.
Glad to be here with another upload. I captured this shot yesterday morning. It is a view of Kanchenjunga, as seen from Gangtok town. Mt. Kanchenjunga is a part of the great Himalayan range. As it is, this peak is the third highest peak in the world (approximately 8,598 meters above sea level). It is located in Sikkim (India); and worshipped as a guardian deity by the original inhabitants of Sikkim. In fact there's an annual festival where monks perform mask dances as a part of worship rituals in different monastries of Sikkim.
By the way, the first highest peak, Mt. Everest (Himalayas), located in Nepal is approximately 8,848 meters above sea level, and the second highest peak Mt. K-2 (Godwin Austen) (Karakoram range) is approximately 8,611 meters above sea level.
As always, I thank you all for your lovely cs and vs on my last and earlier uploads.
With much appreciation,
