St. Ives Lighthouse

By tavm
It has been proven (by boffins) that the light in St. Ives refracts in a way that makes it look bluer and brighter than in other parts of the UK. It is clear to see why it is an inspiration to so many great artists.

This was taken on Thursday (when it should have been raining) at 9am before the crowds.
The sun was behind the lighthouse on the harbor wall.

Good exposure, plenty of detail in the white.
