Hurricane & Hunter

By teocali
The Hurricane and Hunter flying side by side at the Wings & Wheels event at Dunsfold on Bank Holiday Monday. Quite a feat I believe for the Hunter to fly at a speed slow enough to pace the Hurricane. Best viewed large if you have a moment.
Settings: F/13 1/200sec ISO100 TV@420mm handheld
I had to use shutter priority to keep the shutter speed slow enough to get some movement on the Hurricane props.

Many thanks for your C&Cs on my Red Arrow upload - really appreciated as I realise aircraft aren't everybody's cup of tea Wink

Brilliant timing once again Sylvia. A superb shot of both these fabulous old aircraft. Prop speed on the Hurricane just about perfect.

A most unusual pairing, a most unusual photograph. Two great aircraft from the same stable; one at the end of an era and the other just about at the beginning of another. They are captured very well indeed

The commentator at the show did say that this was the very first time these two aircraft had been paired at any event, though I cannot say for sure whether this statement is accurate.
