Taking the plunge........!

By teocali
This lovely dog was having fun retrieving a stick, which his owner kept throwing into one of the ponds in the Ashdown Forest yesterday.
This is a series of 5 consecutive frames. I just love the expression on the dog's face - he is loving every minute of the exercise!

Settings: F/5.6 1/250sec ISO400 420mm handheld manual

Many thanks for your C&Cs and Willow Warbler ID on my last upload. Much appreciated as always.

Yes Fran, I always use AI servo, high continuous burst, with lens switched over to panning mode (2) for any potential action shot. Have got used to always shooting in manual now, so usually tweak the focus manually too just before firing.

What a good set of shots - I bet the owner would love to see these -I think that it could possibly be a white German Shepherd or Lab/GSDcross looking at the fur - Elizabeth

A little while ago, you were complaining about the lack of birds. I see from these that it's really getting to you and you're having to resort to any kind of animal in the air. Wink

Great sequence; #3's my fave, I think.
