Junka the Vulture

By teocali
Concluding my series on the Malta Falconry Centre . Junka the Vulture (so named because he loves junk food, particularly crisps!) was having a off-day.
V1 - the body language is quite obvious!
V2 - sulking on a flat roof
V3 - half-hearted flight off said roof
V4 - further shot of half-hearted descent
V5 - totally ignoring his handler, Doreen!
V6 - going AWOL and out of Centre air space over the village of Siggiewi - lucky he didn't get shot down!!

Many thanks for the fabulous response to my last upload, Harry the Barn Owl and for all your support of this series - hope it hasn't been too long-winded Smile

A fantastic set, Sylvia, the detail in all is amazing. We had one of these beautiful birds land in a car park in one of the gorges, how wonderful to see him close-up, yet free. Thank you for sharing your images taken at the Malta Falconry Centre with us. Carol

A great series Sylvia, has to be V6 for me. It has the old architcture with the vulture caught perfectly in frame giving space for it to fly in
Cracking capture

A spot on series Sylvia. I really do like V6. The contrast between the bird and that ancient old church is quite startling. Well captured.
