Coal Tit

By teocali
Once again the birds in our garden were frantically feeding to keep warm in the bitterly cold weather. With the snow still lying and gorgeously bright light I managed to get a lot of pictures today from my car hide Smile I was particularly pleased with these 2 pics as no tweaking was needed in PS - apart from cropping and framing they are exactly as the camera took them. Couldn't decide which I liked best so have uploaded both.
Still practising with manual settings, handheld, this time with the 1.4x converter on an F4L IS 300mm lens.
Settings:- F5.6 1/640sec ISO 200 420mm

Once again, my thanks to you all for your continued support and C&Cs Smile

Great shots with lovely poses. And that spot of light in the eye really lifts it out from the surrounding dark feathers.

Hi Sylvia,
I love these little coal tits and both these are excellent shots. I love their little trousers. You've captured some lovely detail and your exposure looks good. #2 but just for the pose.

You have manual cracked now Sylvia, superb especially V2, these don't stay for long and to capture in a terrific pose and expose that eye so well is top class.
Great captures and I like that perch
