Eurasian Wren (Troglodytes troglodytes)

This tatty little wren was working overtime, feeding the second brood of the season with a rather grisly offering. They very often nest in the eaves above our kitchen door. Great to watch but the downside is that they usually perch either on the fence or the guttering - not the most attractive of perches!

Normally not an easy bird to capture, but this is a cracking shot. Especially with the offering in his beak
