Marsh Tit (Poecile palustris)

By teocali
I think this is a Marsh Tit (Poecile palustris) taken in the garden today (I braved the bitter cold and sat in the chair hide for an hour - brrr!). Have read the differences between Marsh and Willow Tit and am still not absolutely sure, so have submitted 3 views in case anybody can make a definite identification Wink Fun mousing across the versions!

Many thanks for your great response to my Robin upload - very much appreciated as always.

I agree, a marsh tit (it doesn't have the pale wing panel). Lovely shots! Smile

You should upload V2 separately...it's so cute!

Congratulations Sylvia, you must be thrilled with these images,
all very well detailed with excellent light/colour, V2 a real beauty, deserving an upload on its own.

Three super images. A lot on here are shown with completely "clean" backgrounds which is fine. However with these three I think the soft natural background actually enhances the subject and I don't find the background distracting at all. Love each of the equally

Three well detailed images Sylvia, i can only agree with Mike. it's nice to see a bit of natural b/g. Looks like a Marsh Tit as it has no pale wing bars but never easy to disinguish between them,

Graham.
