Small Copper on Sedum

By teocali
The Small Copper, (Lycaena phlaeas - wingspan 2.6 to 3.6cm) is a small butterfly on the wing throughout summer. Found in dry, sunny habitats, including heathland, woodland edges, waste ground and downland. We seem to have a lot in our garden too and they love the sedum plants. Very flighty and don't stay still for a split second!

I was blown away by your response to my Capercaillie upload - thank you all for your C&Cs and special thanks for their UAs to: Fred(Badgerfred), Malcolm(M_squared), Len(Len1950), David(chalkhillblue), Phil(PhilT2), Arne(Saastadt), Lillian(Lillian), Pamela(pamelajean), Carol(canoncarol), Mike(Mike_Smith) and Keith(dark_lord) - all very much appreciated Smile
