A full frame capture of wild Red Squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) nibbling away at an acorn. Taken in the Cairngorms National Park last year.
Thank you all so much for your generous support of my last upload - always really appreciated
Beautiful shot, Sylvia.
Fabulous Sylvia! John
He's a beauty!
This image is a winner!
Wonderful wildlife capture.
Excellent, great pose and detail,
A wonderful capture........such colour and detail. Cannot fault the shot (as near perfect as makes no difference) but I am a little troubled by the foreground branch ?? which makes the tree stump appear to be floating. It's just a foible of mine to like firmly grounded images
First class Image!!
A gorgeous image, the squirrel has been brilliantly caught - but I'm not sure about the bar of blur at the bottom.
Huh, I envy you this shot.
What a beauty of squirrel l!!!
Very cool shot too!!!
Good details and tones in this fine capture
Faultless photography Sylvia, always enjoy seeing your latest post!! Andy
So cute and lovely with the perspective and nice separation from the background.
Thank you so much John for your User Award - thrilled to receive it and very grateful Thank you also everybody for your clicks and great comments. I am a fan of "mushy" foregrounds but for the benefit of those who are perhaps not so enthusiastic, I have uploaded a V2. Personally I think this makes the image unbalanced and too tight a crop, but we all see things differently and I really appreciate frank critique - thank you
Really nice work,The squirrel, is pin sharp,I love it.
Gorgeous Sylvia, one of your best
Two absolute top class shots Sylvia. Superb.
Great images. Well captured.
Superb beautiful images..Lin
What a beauty: the squirrel and photo both! I agree with the crop in V2 as the blurred FG was a wee bit distracting. Otherwise it's such a great tight comp with fantastic detail on the fur and stump.
Quite superb, Sylvia: prefer V 2 without the blurred 'item' at the foot of V 1.
Excellent work, the detail immaculate, exposure spot on, and subject well separated from the b/g.
An absolutely stunning image Sylvia
Thank you so much David, Lin, Ronnie and Adrian for your User Awards ...... over the moon and very much appreciated. Thank you also everybody for your C&Cs - blown away by the response
Lovely detail and colour tones
Thank you so much Steve and Malcolm for your User Awards - very gratefully received and much appreciated . Many thanks everybody for your generous support
An enchanting image of this endearing little creature, I much prefer v2 without the blurred object at the bottom of the shot which is a tad distracting
How lovely to see Red Squirrels in the wild Sylvia, beautiful shots.
Wonderful image Sylvia - Even though it's a tighter crop, I prefer V2 which takes out the blurred foreground.
