A replica of the 1911 Avro Triplane "12" (G-ARSG), built in 1964 and owned and operated by the Shuttleworth Collection. Taken flying at an Old Warden evening flying display in July 2013. This aircraft featured in the iconic movie, Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines.

Wonderful photo of this ancient triplane. In Rhinebeck, NY is the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, where they have a collection of very old airplanes....all of which still fly, going back as far as a Bleriot monoplane from around 1907 or so. They even do mock WW1 dogfights.

What a great addition to your collection. Probably a darn sight easier to photograph than jets at a gazillion km per hr but nice panning all the same....john
