another excellent deer image.
I wonder what it would have been like if you had the camera rotated to portrait, if you get my drift?

Excellent shot

I know from experience that portrait when they are at this angle do not work as the antlers and body angle do not allow enough space in the are the stag is looking.
Great full frame action Sylvia and natural saturaion with lots of detail
Might have just given it a little extra boost from increasing contrast Sylvia

Cracking image of this mighty beast Sylvia. A touch of extra contrast may help a bit but I would say keep it to a minimum. Current colour looks so natural and so many are are far too contrasty and almost saturated.
Challenging - well portrayed.

Superb! Congratulations on the HC.

I guess that, ideally, the tips of the antlers would be inside the frame rather than just above the top edge but, with a prime lens on a tripod, there's not a lot you can do about that! Grin (And better, I think, to be missing the tips of the antlers rather than cropped too tight on the bottom.)

Sylvia I don't know how you got out of my favorites, but you did. I almost missed all these wonderful images. These are all fabulous and how exciting for you to see these wonderful stags in all their glory.............Sandy
