Turtle Dove

By TerryMcK
The Turtle Dove is becoming increasingly rare, a fact proven by the bird's Red List status. My local Nature Reserve has a resident breeding pair of these beautiful birds & members are very excited at the prospect of seeing young, especially as the adults often settle in areas that provide good views.

Thank you for your approval of my previous upload "Drab Lady." Special thanks to Carol (CarolG) for her much-valued UA.

The pose is great. There is an alert eye connection and we also see the back designs and markings. A beautiful and fine textured bird. Great stuff! TG

Thanks, Trevor. I thought it was destined to be stuck at 29 for ever!
