Glossy Visitor...

By TerryMcK
A Glossy Ibis stalks the mud banks along the edge of a scrape at Frampton Marsh NR, Lincolnshire.
Once a very rare migrant visitor to the UK but now becoming a little more frequent. This particular bird is one of a pair that attempted to build a nest at the Reserve in 2014, the first ever recorded such event in the UK. Unfortunately, despite a promising start, the pair did not become parents.

Thank you for your support on my previous post, "Damsel Wheel." and special thanks to Mike (Mike_Smith) for his valued User Award.

Wow Terry aren't you lucky to have him in Lincolnshire, he's a beauty. I wish it would visit Hampshire. A lovely shot. Pam
