Desert Road - Chile

By the_lane
A road in the atacama desert Chile.

Drove for a few miles up the road until the cloud was central!

Altitude was approx 4000m and, we were headed up-hill - Which is why the horizon looks so empty! On the overside of the hill, loads of volcanoes are visable.

The composition is simple and effective. It's not obvious that it's on the brow of a hill in my opinion, which at first made me go right up to the monitor to see why the road seemed 'chopped' (and now I now know it's not! heh heh!)

Obviously, it's the position of the cloud that makes this shot stand up.. Well spotted.

I really like this photo. Simple but so effective, with lines leading perfectly towards the cloud. Well done!
