Most pictures of the castle concentrate on the keep, this is a more unusual view and shows the extent of the walls. Very nicely composed - the foliage on the right is like a curtain drawn back to reveal the scene.

Thought this looked familiar - we stopped off here on our travels on our Camera Club outing in July last year! Though didn't get to see inside as it was late in the day and about to close, it looks a very well preserved castle. Like your viewpoint here, Dave, and the tree to the right balances the image very nicely.

Very well shot. I like how you've included the leaves on the right hand side. It's almost as if we've emerged from a forest to find this castle there. This is the one they used to film part of Harry Potter, isn't it?

Not the conventional view, and all the better for it. Compositionally the f/g tree is a good balance for the Ducal living quarters, and there's a good range of tones.
