Eye to Eye!

At 30mm this Black Darter female is Britain's smallest Dragonfly! She sat perfectly still as I moved in to about 3 inches for a few macro shots. I found her at Fen Bog, a site of special scientific interest, near RAF Fylingdales in North Yorkshire.

A rather extraordinary macro photograph depicting this extremely gorgeous 'Female' Black Darter Dragon Fly, beautiful colours and markings, combined with lovely crisp detail throughout.
