    Scorpion fish, I think.

  • Geum

Nice, goes with the forget-me-not very well. Had to look it up - appears to be Cosmopolitan.

  • Unknown Flower 3

Looks like Avens (geum) - more a wild flower than a weed.

  • pole & nuthatch

Pretty sure that's a wheatear - colouration is similar, though.

  • Blue on Green

It's a blue korean fir. I used to have one, but the elements damaged it terminally.

  • Guy Martin during evening practice at Union Mills, Isle of Man TT

Nice shot, but I think I'd try to clone out the orange blob.

Nicely timed shot. I think the wader is a godwit, though.

  • Icing on the Cake

I think it's Beinn Achaladair to the south of Rannoch moor, with Meall Buidhe on the left.

  • Colonsay - The Strand, towards Oronsay

If you have the sun in the frame, it's always going to be 'blown', and is a feature of the image. As this is a representation of what you saw, the picture is successful. Some people will take the view that any blown highlight is a flaw, but in this type of shot it can't be helped.

  • Sister Act

Jeez, you picked a hell of an area for your 1st Munro! So many ways to go wrong in there, even in good conditions.

To get the max background blur you need to go into A mode and set the aperture to the max using the wheel - in this case you could have had f4.8 instead of f6.3. For this type of shot to work you need to get the subject in sharp focus, which you haven't.

  • Lychen?

Lichen on the left, moss on the right, I'd say.

Looks like some wild Pakora in the background too.

  • Connel Bridge

Really nice images. I think they need a slight anticlockwise rotate, going by the background and the vertical bridge elements. Sorry if this sounds anal.

I think the island is Scarp rather than Scarpa (they may have made your boots).
