Lady in the Lake

By TheURL
This is a photo of my daughter that I took for her as part of a music project she is doing (she's a pianist and composer, and into theatre and choreography). I offer it up to anyone with creative ideas as to what we might do with it photographically. It was taken at Frensham Little Pond in Surrey last Sunday. She has my consent to use this photo.

Super image that really makes use of the red of the dress.

The mod I have moved her over to look into the space and ask the question "what is she looking at".

Do you have a plan for how the image will be used?

What is the meaning of standing in the water?

Why did you stay so wide with the lens?

Is it important that there should be a connection to music, piano or theatre?

The plan is to use it as artwork for a song. Standing in the water because it is a key theme of the song. I kept it wide so we would have plenty of material to retain or crop, depending on how she decides to use it. I only mentioned the background behind the photoshoot just to to "set the scene" - in case it induced any inspiration that might otherwise not have been forthcoming! Smile

I've added one as well Willie, a bit more off the wall perhaps. The colour palette probably depends on the nature of the music.

Hi Norm - oh wow - now that IS inventive! And you make a good point, which I'm not in a position to answer. Don't shoot the photographer (word-play pun intended) - many thanks - much appreciated Smile
