We arrived by boat from the left of this shot, to the small village of Tiniteqelaaq on the Angmagssalik fjord. The village has a population of 96. At version 1 I've included a shot of a polar bear skin drying on a rack that I came across while walking around the village. The bear had been caught a few weeks earlier. Incidentally they don't call them Polar bears - they call them Ice bears. You can't prefix everything with the word "polar" simply by virtue of latitude!

Defines the word "picturesque. The colouration of this image is very pleasing and the POV well-chosen.

The air looks so clear Simon. Stunning.

The air is indeed very clear, and also very dry - except when the sea-fog drifts in. I did a short talk at our camera club last year, comparing Greenland with India, which certainly highlighted the difference between the yellow heat haze of India and the blue ice-cold air of the arctic. Both great countries for photographers!

Thank you Simon for posting another interesting image of Greenland, sure looks like a tough place to live, even on a good day !
