Last Light, Reine, Lofoten, Norway

By ThomasGorman
As I left the foggy car park and began my ascent I was unsure what lay ahead however after forty minutes or so I immersed through the inversion and felt the warmth of the sun on my face again. I continued to climb the stunning Reinebringen as the inversion was in full flow beneath me. As the light faded for the day the mist been to clear revealing the beautiful village of Reine, Lofoten, beneath me.

I captured this image and several others before the sun set and night fell upon me and delivered another fantastic evening of Aurora before my mid-night descent.

Uploaded at larger resolution as I didn't think the original, smaller upload did itself justice.

I commented on this photo when it first appeared yesterday and noticed that one other person had commented ahead of me but our comments have disappeared. Can anyone explain why?
I think this photo is fantastic by the way and it gets my vote (again).

Hi Greta,

As explained above, I have uploaded this image at a larger resolution as I didn't think the original, smaller upload did itself justice.

Thanks for both your votes.

Thank you all for your comments. Whilst I don't post any image for recognition it is always nice when people take the time to comment on my image and for that I thank you all.
