Ben's Tiger II

By tigertimb
2nd of the tiger shots from "Ben's Zoo"; wasn't sure whether I preferred this one or yesterdays.

The tigers were fascinated by a visiting troupe of Masai warriors which produced this expression. Not sure if it was the bright red costumes, or the bells? (I'll see if any of the candids I took are worth posting for tomorrow)

A 5% boost to brightness and contrast with this one over the original jpeg.

#2 was an attempt to darken the background; I wasn't entirely happy with the edges, but liked the result anyway.

All comments and criticisms much appreciated

What a great portrait Tim, V2 for me, the darker background works well.

No problems with either; I prefer V1 but haven't a clue why.
(Many people would have me leave the last word off that comment Wink)

I prefer V2. I see what you mean about the edging - particularly on the right side. Not sure what the answer is.

Actually I prefer No1, somehow it is more natural, I loved yesterdays too.

Hi Tim
I liked the Tiger series a lot for its perfect technical performance and nice color spectrum,
In this particular duo I find V #2 more classical and traditional thus easier for seeing.
Cheers
All the best

Just as good as yesterdays, I lean towards the darker background in #2. Sandra

Have to say I don't mind either version. There's a hint of the original colour around the tiger in V2 but not enough to distract.
Cracking detail in the animal and a wonderful pose.
