Lakeside fun

By tigertimb
Resuming normal service today Smile

To save confusion; before I say anything else: #4 is just for fun and is the muddy version Tongue

I'm persoanlly a little undecided between the mono and colours versions this time, but still think the mono edges it.

The only major editing I've done to this is to work on the sky; essentially dodging it to put some detail back in and simulating an ND grad filter. I did this by saving a 2nd copy from the RAW editior which was underexposed by 1.5 stops and then merging this with the original. #3 shows the result before I did this.

All comments and criticisms very welcome - I think I'll post one more shot from this location so will have a chance to take any suggestions on board.

I prefer #2. Lovely captured shot. Better than the normal posed shots

Again another great image. My only niggle is the dress between the bride and groom, kind of a bit in the way.
Prefer the B+W version.

Wonderful pose and expressions, sheer joie de vivre *; great work on the sky; I rate #1 and #2 equally due to the sheer quality of the skin tones.
When I saw the thumbnail I immediately wondered what the bride had on her lips - well, nothing, but her mouth coincides almost precisely with the gleam from the lake in the background; in the conversion the tones are very similar. I doubt 99 other people would have noticed at all so I expect they will all gang up on me Sad

Excellent work in V2, and I think I prefer it to the mono.
V4 - She was only a coalminer's daughter...

Thankyou everyone for the comments.
Colin I agree; I just suggested picking her up and then left them to it, quickly grabbing a few shots.
Bill - I knew that one Wink And thanks a lot - I hadn't spotted that before and that's now all I can see; I'll make sure I tone it down for the final version Smile
Moira - I've yet to get the couples reaction to #4 (and you might have made the situation worse Smile ), but I may revisit the idea tomorrow if they don't catch up to me first

Of the colour versions, v2 is my favorite, and I can't quite decide between it and the mono version. Both are really good captures and show the joy these two are experiencing. V4, uh, um - no.

Great work Tim, you've really captured a wonderful happy moment. Super work on the sky. Can't decide between no. 1 and 2, they're both wonderful.
