unusually for me i prefer the colour version... lovely natural shot :-0)

I prefer the mono version. This is a nice natrual shot, I like how they are looking at eachother, almost playful. I've been asked to take photos at a wedding next week, not looking forward to it really, feel pressured to come up with great shots when I'm not sure if I can. I may try and get one like this though, I love the pose. Tracey

Oh Tim your going to hate me.
Start with Mono version works the best.
Pose is great that smile on her face is great and they love each other, but to be a good wedding tog you don't just watch the subject but also the background, fab pose cut in half by the river, so you are fighting with the face in the brightness of the water.
I would cut the heads out and put another background top on, must admit I do take a few shots of backgrounds with no one in them just incase of these problems.
But much better picture with great pose, please say you shot her in that dress.
Promise you can hit me later.

Love it. And I'll admit that viewing it the first time, without even reading comments, I didn't even notice the water.

Love this, Tim, better in mono for me. Somebody else likes it too Smile
Lovely tones, good comp, sorry I didn't notice the background but the figures are so dominant. A really happy photo with no cheese involved.
Big congrats on the HC - you have worked hard for it!

Thankyou everyone so much for the comments; wasn't too hard to catch this look between them as it was fairly constant all day Wink

No hating or hitting necessary Paul; your raising points that I hadn't considered and what better way to learn; I just liked the setting of the wild flowers, reeds and lake.

And Pete; thankyou so much the HC; very chuffed Smile

Mono isolates the feeling perfectly for this.
Wrt to the river in the background: I did oil painting for years, and horizontal lines behind subjects was something we often used to "ground" the subject in the image.

When your young and in love!! An excellent wedding shot that captures the moment superbly Tim. Works a real treat as a warm black and white and the colour version also. A pleasure to view.
