I favour V2 for the slightly deeper tones and greater contrast, it gives a real feeling of sitting amongst all those flowers. It also shows up the fabric in the dress well. Oh and the implement of torture did a good job...
I'm afraid I have to say that I really don't like V3! But maybe that's how some of the guests will remember the day after a few glasses of champagne.

Um. #1 for me, the softening has worked pretty well I think. #2 is just a tiny touch too heavy. I find #3 as shown way OTT; however, as a tool it has served its purpose by combining with #2 as explained to give the top copy.
I have to admit that there is not much wrong with #4. Switching quickly between it and #2 it appears that some of the highlight has been swapped from the sky to the bride's dress and the groom's suit!
I doubt this has helped much - sorry! As for softening, I haven't tried

Thankyou everyone for the considered comments and preet for the mod - I never think to consider framing images and particularly like the feeling of canvas that the raised effect gives it.
No-one was meant to like #3 on it's own

And from a number of the comments, I'll carefully consider the use of HDR for other shots - maybe just use it to boost some of the larger flat areas of sky in some of the other shots.
