Still experimenting to see what works and what doesn't and hopefully not too similar to the last one.

Still in the car park of the shop next door to the hotel!
For these shots, I was bracketing to increase the chances of getting the exposure right and to cope with the odd odd expression. This set of three were identical so thought I'd see how an HDR came out.

Would value any comments, suggestions and criticisms, as to whether this has worked?

#1 A 75/25% blend of #2 and #3 to give a softer feel and then a few details painted back in.
#2 the HDR from three shots +/- 0.7 EV and hopefully not too heavy handed
#3 the soft focus version used for the blend; just for interest sake and in the hope that someone might tell me a better way to do it
#4 the middle of the orignal 3 original exposures with very minor tweaking

Thankyou to everyone for the continued comments on this series; it's a real help

I've no idea how to do HDR, and am far to busy at the moment to try and find out. This photograph is atmospheric. It is beautiful. (referring to image 1)

(I have no idea how you do that multi-image thing - LOL!)

Your all versions are nice, everybody has different taste Tim. I upload modified version using V1, hope you like that as well.

Excellent environment and pose. Beautiful wedding shot which I prefer #2.

I do find that #3 has been very overdone though

I favour V2 for the slightly deeper tones and greater contrast, it gives a real feeling of sitting amongst all those flowers. It also shows up the fabric in the dress well. Oh and the implement of torture did a good job... Wink
I'm afraid I have to say that I really don't like V3! But maybe that's how some of the guests will remember the day after a few glasses of champagne.

Um. #1 for me, the softening has worked pretty well I think. #2 is just a tiny touch too heavy. I find #3 as shown way OTT; however, as a tool it has served its purpose by combining with #2 as explained to give the top copy.
I have to admit that there is not much wrong with #4. Switching quickly between it and #2 it appears that some of the highlight has been swapped from the sky to the bride's dress and the groom's suit!
I doubt this has helped much - sorry! As for softening, I haven't tried Sad

I may be out on a limb but I think if V4 has a little curves work to improve contract and punch its the best.

Really can't make up my mind - but they are all great shots. The couple must be delighted with them

Thankyou everyone for the considered comments and preet for the mod - I never think to consider framing images and particularly like the feeling of canvas that the raised effect gives it.

No-one was meant to like #3 on it's own Smile Smile

And from a number of the comments, I'll carefully consider the use of HDR for other shots - maybe just use it to boost some of the larger flat areas of sky in some of the other shots.

I like v4 the best of these, and believe me, I've gone back and forth a few times.
I do this same thing with images, try different things, and there's always something cool about each version! Oh the power of digital image software.
