Wedding Portrait

By tigertimb
Another shot from the wedding back at the start of summer, and back to a more formal portrait after yesterdays fun.
#1 and #2 are processed from the single RAW file, but with several different exposures blended together and then selectively softened for #1
#3 is the original jpeg for comparison and for those who don't like shooting RAW Wink

All comments welcome and please let me know which you prefer.

Hi Tim. Another fine example of your work. I'm sure you could do this sort of thing for a living! Great bit of processing and V1 does look very good indeed.

V1 for me, there just seems to be a bit more substance to the couple and particularly their clothes, and that brings them forward from the landscape.
There's a thin stem or similar just in front of the bride's face that I'd get rid of - it looks as though it's about to tickle her nose.

Really fine portrait of a couple who even at their most serious can not stop smiling - delightfully natural.
V1, btw.
Now Moira has pointed out that wisp of grass you'll never forget it.....

Great work in V1 when I look at V3 It has to be raw just look at the improvement in the sky alone. - gary

Thankyou so much everyone; been out for the evening and it's so great to come back to all the encouraging comments.

Moira - I'll ort out the reed for the larger version Smile I did all the work on the 4000 pixel version where it didn't feel as obtrusive as it was clearly in the background. But in the smaller version I definitely agree with you and as Bill points out it's all I see now Wink

Martin thankyou so much for the mod. My aim with this one was was to give it a lift whilst trying to maintain a fairly natural feel, but I love your punchy variant too Smile

V1 definitely - the warm colours and the softness really adds to that magical moment captured.
